Meltable Material Alloys which contain copper, brass or bronze together with precious metals or precious metal alloys are melted and then processed into granulated metals or poured into bars. Afterwards the exact precious metal content of the material is determined in our chemical laboratory. The precious metals are refined by a combination of copper electrolysis, silver electrolysis and chemical processes. Chemical Refining Material that cannot be homogenized by melting is refined by processing in liquids. The precious metals are dissolved, then recovered as pure metals by means of precipitation, filtration, and washing. Sweeping Containing Precious Metals Sweepings are scrap materials that mainly consist of organic compounds (paper, cleaning cloth waste, plastic substrates etc.). After combustion in our reverberating furnace, the resulting cinders and ashes including precious metals are treated with chemicals or they are processed by melting. |
