Due to increasing nickel prices, AMI DODUCO is implementing a nickel surcharge to thermostatic metal shipments in North American starting March 1, 2000. Nickel prices increased steadily throughout 1999 and are currently at the highest levels since the late 1980s. AMI DODUCO can no longer absorb the increased cost of nickel in our raw alloys. Therefore, our current thermostatic metal prices will be surcharged from an LME nickel value of $2.60/lb.
