PFORZHEIM, Germany -- AMI DODUCO announced it has developed an improved process for recycling silver tungsten and silver tungsten carbide used to make electrical contacts for low- and medium-voltage applications such as home and industrial circuit breakers.
AMI DODUCO is now able to recycle both the silver and tungsten components of these materials.
In addition, the proprietary new method of filtration, dilution and electrolysis leads to higher rates of silver recovery.
“Saving precious resources and production costs is an important way to show customers the value of doing business with AMI DODUCO,” said Armin Nittel, Refinery Sales Manager, AMI DODUCO.
“We can now reprocess any scrap generated in our silver tungsten and silver tungsten carbide processes and those of other manufacturers and users.”
