The extension of the AMI DODUCO production facility in Madrid was completed on October 31, 2005, making Madrid not only the centre of competence for contact rivet production for Europe and Asia, but also creating in Spain comprehensive capacity for the production of stamped parts with electrical contacts.
"In the last three months we have tripled our stamping capacity Madrid," reported Friedhelm Seubert, General Manager for AMI DODUCO production facilities in Spain and Mexico. "By integrating the stamping work of AMI DODUCO Italy into our factory in Spain we have significantly reduced the lead time from the production of the contact rivets to the final riveted stamped parts."
"The Madrid facility for stamped parts is not only a plus for our customers in southern Europe," said Christian J. Hagedorn, Vice President
Marketing & Sales, Europe. "Particularly for cost sensitive applications in the domestic appliances and automotive sectors of the market, this is a perfect addition to the high tech stamping centre at our main site in Pforzheim.”
